After weeks of preparation – and anticipation – it was wonderful to finally be back at ISPO Munich to meet with industry colleagues and friends once again! It was a fabulous show!
According Messe München reports, ISPO, which took place from November 28-30, 2022, featured 1,700 exhibitors and around 40,000 visitors. Almost 90 percent of the exhibitors came from outside Germany, with over 50 countries represented. Germany, Italy, France, China, and Taiwan formed the majority of exhibitors. Around 20 percent of the 1,700 were exhibiting at ISPO Munich for the first time.
The new feature hall, Future Lab, hosted more than 70 start-up exhibitors. (From our experience, this Hall was full of activity and people during the entire show!)
This year’s 40,000 visitors included guests from 117 countries, meaning over 73 percent of visitors were international. Germany, Italy, France, the U.K., and Austria provided the top five share of visitors.
The positive energy of finally gathering together flowed into our booth over the three days, resulting in nearly 100 meetings during the show. Our brand, retailer, and mill partners along with media visitors were interested in our newly certified and commercialized creora® bio-based spandex, in addition to our Mipan regen ocean nylon, a 3rd party- certified, 100% recycled nylon made from discarded fishing nets and other reclaimed nylon waste.
We also showcased our Mipan robic and regen robic high-tenacity nylon adopted by leading backpack brands worldwide along with our xanadu and regen xanadu for those looking for mechanical stretch fiber technology.
Another highlight was an ample display of concept garments designed by our Fashion Design Center (FDC) made with our FW ‘23/’24 fibers/fabrics developed to help brands/retailers visualize and feel how apparel made with these fibers/fabrics can enhance their product offerings.
