Hyosung TNC Introduces New Denim Collaborations at Kingpins Amsterdam
Teams with textile suppliers to develop new recycled and bio-based denim stretch innovations
October 12, 2026: Seoul, South Korea – Hyosung TNC, a leading manufacturer of elastane by market share, is proud to partner with several esteemed value chain suppliers serving the denim industry to showcase new textile innovations to brands and retailers at Kingpins Amsterdam, October 14-15.
The company looks forward to presenting the following three new collaborations:
Maritaş | Hyosung – Mediterranean Nearshoring
This collaborative denim combines *cotton grown through regenerative agricultural practices and used by Turkey-based denim producer, Maritaş’ with Hyosung’s RCS certified recycled spandex produced in its Turkey based facility. The result is a denim fabric sourced from materials in the same country. The collaboration presents a distinct story in regenerative agriculture supported by recycled stretch elastane. Additionally, with both materials sourced in Turkey, the concept supports a regional supply chain for European brands.

TENCEL™ | regen™ | Nien Hsing – Reimagining Authenticity
This denim concept brings two fiber suppliers, TENCEL™ and Hyosung, with Taiwanese denim mill, Nien hsing. The collaboration creates an authentic look and texture of denim with the ease and comfort of recycled stretch. The textured appearance is created with TENCEL™ Lyocell – HV100 and the stretch is from Hyosung’s 100% recycled regen™ Elastane. Subtle variation across the fabric surface gives it a denim look, while the spandex adds flexibility for everyday wear.
DNM | Denim Deal |Hyosung – One Purpose. One Denim.
This collaboration was developed by DNM denim mill and Hyosung, who both share Denim Deal’s vision, which is to catalyze the production of 1 billion pairs of jeans containing at least 20 % post-consumer recycled (POCR) cotton by 2030. The denim is made with more than 20% post-consumer recycled (POCR) cotton blended with Hyosung’s regen™ BIO Max Elastane made from renewable resources. Combining post-consumer recycled cotton with sugarcane-derived elastane gives brands a denim story that brings together recycled and renewable materials.

Also at Kingpins, Hyosung will share its latest developments with new regen™ BIO Elastane derived from sugarcane now in production at our integrated facilities in Vietnam.
Commercial production of Hyosung’s sugarcane-based regen™ BIO Spandex began in August, bringing the industry’s first integrated bio-based spandex production system into operation. The system connects the entire production chain, from sugarcane feedstock to Bio-BDO, Bio-PTMG and finished spandex.
Hyosung’s Bio-BDO facility currently has an annual production capacity of up to 50,000 tonnes, with plans to expand capacity to up to 200,000 tonnes as market demand grows.
