Hi there and welcome to our SS ’23 Trend Byte #10, which is the first Essence of Comfort sub-trend we are calling Skin Soothing Materials. 

Skin Soothing materials are fabrics that offer targeted cooling to the skin and thermoregulation in response to fluctuating body and external temperature changes – a baseline comfort requirement, whether at rest or on the move. In addition to cooling, wicking, and quick-dry benefits, other skin-soothing characteristics include soft touch, soft stretch, and lightweight. 

Our recommended yarns for skin soothing materials include:

• askin: cooling and UV protective polyester fiber
• aqua-X: cooling and UV protective nylon fiber
• aerosilver: antimicrobial, moisture-managing, and quick-drying polyester for long-lasting freshness
