We’ve reached our final FDC FW 26/27 Textile Trend Byte with its fourth All-Round Recovery sub-trend theme, Airy Pointelle – Comfy pointelle featuring breathable and sophisticated texture.

Airy Pointelle

Sheer and soft pointelle fabric, known for its breathability and adorable texture, continues to be a key trend this season. This delicate knit construction characterized by its design, conveys a romantic sensibility and adds a feminine touch to intimate wear and loungewear. Designers are actively experimenting with pointelle by introducing unique and creative motifs that heighten both visual sophistication and distinctive appeal. This season, the development of enhanced sustainable pointelle fabrics made with bio-based spandex further reflects the industry’s commitment to combining style with responsibility.

Key Yarns

• regen™ BIO Spandex/Elastane: spandex partly made with renewable resources.
• regen™ Spandex: 100% recycled, RCS-certified spandex made from the reclaimed waste from our manufacturing process.
• CREORA® Color+ Spandex/Elastane: a special acid/reactive dyeable spandex/elastane, which has excellent elasticity with the added benefit of providing long-lasting richer colors in nylon and natural fiber blends. It reduces grin-through on textile products and makes fabric colors deeper and more vivid.
• CREORA® EasyFlex Spandex/Elastane: a soft stretch spandex that provides a luxuriously feel on the body. It stretches more smoothly than conventional spandex and shows excellent recovery allowing you to move more comfortably and freely in everyday items such as hosiery, socks, underwear, leggings, and active wear. It maintains a long-lasting comfortable fit and allows for size inclusivity where one size can fit various body types.

Suggested Fabrics

Key material for this theme is a feminine pointelle fabric, which combines natural/regenerated fibers such as modal and cotton with Hyosung’s regen™ BIO Spandex or CREORA® Color+ Spandex, to enable a variety of applications in lounge and intimate wear. With a soft, natural look and hand feel, it also adds breathability and comfortable stretch, making it an ideal material to incorporate into soft and feminine peices.
