Hyosung FDC FW 26/27 Trend Byte 3

We have reached our third and final Restorative Journey Activewear theme – Paper-Weight Shield.

Paper-Weight Shield:  lightweight woven fabric updated with a unique surface

Lightweight functionality is essential to active and athleisure wear – and thus, lightweight fabrics have been a megatrend for several seasons. Since consumers are seeking new styles and updated fabrics, we foresee surface lightweight woven fabrics being renewed with a papery touch and semi-shiny surface this season.

Our recommended yarns and fabrics for Paper-Weight Shield include:

Key Yarns

  • regen™ BIO: USDA and SGS-certified spandex/elastane partly made with renewable resources.
  • regen™ Spandex: 100% recycled, RCS-certified spandex/elastane made from the reclaimed waste from our manufacturing process.
  • regen™ Ocean Nylon: GRS-certified, 100% recycled post-consumer nylon made from discarded fishing nets.
  • regen™ Xanadu: 100% recycled polyester with mechanical stretch.
  • CREORA® Conadu: Cotton-like touch polyester with mechanical stretch.

Suggested Fabrics

Lightweight woven fabric with a unique texture or surface such as ripstop or seersucker with ventilation holes for breathable function.

Please reach out to us for more information on our textile trends, performance yarns, and fabric suggestions. We will move on to our first Restorative Journey Outdoor Wear theme –Technical Luxury on Monday.
