We are excited to begin our new SS 27 Trend Byte series! We have a lot of information to share over the next several weeks, so please be sure to check back often!

As we mentioned in our introductory story announcing the FDC SS 27 Textile Trend Report, Blue Wellness, Climate Resilience, and Modern Retro are the three mega trends that influence the Active & Outdoor, and the Lounge Intimate sub-trends. 

Our Trend Byte 1 will begin with the first Active & Outdoor sub-trend called Retro Sportif. 

Retro Sportif: preppy-inspired casual sportswear 

Influenced by the ‘back to school’ trend, the new preppy style that combines the academic ivy league vibe with Y2K elements is in focus. Fabrics such as retro-mood stripes and piques are refreshed with functional synthetic fibers adding more performance benefits to the activewear market.
