We’re ready to begin covering FDC’s FW 27/28 Relaxed Outdoor sub-trend and its first theme, Soft Move-Wear, extremely soft fabrics from active to lounge.

Soft Move-Wear

This FW 27/28 season, active core products with a soft touch are in focus. With a brushed surface, they offer a cozy feel and versatility for home wear, activewear, and daily wear. A notable material shift is the transition from nylon-based soft fabrics to polyester, now updated with a cozy handfeel. For instance, jersey fabrics made from mechanical stretch polyester with a cotton-like touch can be applied to relaxed-fit mid-layers such as pullovers, hoodies, and jogger set-ups. These pieces show strong potential as comfortable everyday wear throughout the fall and winter season.

Key Yarns

• CREORA® Conadu: a polyesterfiber thatdelivers the soft, natural touch of cotton with added stretch, wrinkle resistance, and moisture-management performance for all-day comfort
• CREORA® Cotna: a polyester that provides the same soft texture as cotton while maintaining excellent shape stability. It’s resistant to wrinkling and pilling and absorbs and dries moisture quickly to keep you comfortable.
• regen™ Aerolight: a lightweight 100% recycled polyester providing outstanding moisture management function and refreshing feel
• regen™ Aeroheat: a heat-generating polyester that absorbs light from sources such as sunlight and fluorescent lamps, releasing heat
• regen™ BIO Spandex/Elastane: spandex partly made with renewable resources
• regen™ Spandex/Elastane: 100% recycled, RCS-certified spandex made from the  reclaimed waste from our manufacturing process

Suggested Fabrics

This trend features fabrics with an exceptionally soft touch. The key point is that all these soft fabrics are made from polyester. That’s why a major core yarns is CREORA® Conadu Polyester, a mechanical stretch yarn with a soft touch, and CREORA® Cotna, a polyester yarn with a cotton-like feel. The fabrics in this trend provide a unique combination of softness and stretch, offering the wearer comfort and warmth. Their versatility allows them to be used across a wide range of styles, from activewear to loungewear.
