Hyosung FDC FW 25/26 Trend Byte 1
We are excited to begin our new FW 25/26 Trend Byte series! We have a lot of information to share over the next several weeks, so please be sure to check back often!
We begin with our first theme, which is called Minimal for Future. We begin with our first theme, which is called Minimal for Future. As noted in our previous FDC Textile Trend post, this theme suggests consumers will be more mindful of choosing season-less, genderless and ageless apparel that can be used for multiple purposes; thermal-regulating pieces for saving energy; and apparel made with blends of natural fibers blended with bio-based synthetics. The first of the three sub-trends in Minimal for Future is called All-Round Basics.
All-Round Basics
Since the oversupply of clothing is becoming a worldwide problem, the better-basic trend will continue to be a mega-trend for the 25/26 FW season. We suggest core fabrics that can be used for season-less, genderless, and age-less basic pieces. From the manufacturer’s point of view, this planet-friendly concept will help reduce inventory burden such as Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ).
Our recommended yarns and fabrics for All-Round Basics include:
Key Yarns
- regen Spandex: RCS -certified 100% recycled spandex/elastane made from reclaimed waste
- regen Bio-Based Spandex: USDA and SGS-certified spandex/elastane partly made with renewable resources.
- CREORA® Color+ Spandex: a special acid/reactive dyeable spandex/elastane, which has excellent elasticity with the added benefit of providing long-lasting richer colors in nylon and natural fiber blends. It reduces grin-through on textile products and makes fabric colors deeper and more vivid.
- regen Ocean Nylon: GRS-Certified, 100% recycled post-consumer nylon made with discarded fishing nets.
