Tropicfeel Unites with Hyosung in the Launch of its New Shell Sustainable Travel Backpack

Eco-friendly Shell backpack and wardrobe system is made with Hyosung’s GRS certified 100% recycled regen fibers

February 15, 2021 – Barcelona, Spain and Seoul, South Korea – Tropicfeel, acompany that focuses on using upcycled materials, natural fabrics and compostable packaging that is built around an on-demand business model, has become a huge hit with travelers spanning the globe who care about the earth, and want to simplify their lives. The company’s Shell travel backpack, made with Hyosung’s sustainable materials, was co-created with its community of over 5,000 travelers and has raised nearly 2 million dollars in pre-orders on Kickstarter this fall.

Designed for urban exploration and outdoor adventures, the Shell backpack and wardrobe system features a minimalist 3-in-1 adaptable design that seamlessly transitions to suit the commuter, weekender, and traveler by transforming into three different sizes: compressed 22L, normal 30L and expanded 40L.

The weatherproof backpack is made with Hyosung’s portfolio of recycled performance fibers, one of which is the first 100% recycled spandex worldwide – creora® regen. The Shell travel pack features Hyosung’s Mipan® regen nylon and creora® regen spandex both made with 100% reclaimed waste, in addition to regen polyester and regen cotna made from 100% post-consumer waste – all of which help save valuable resources from being removed from the earth.

“Tropicfeel’s Shell backpack is the first product to incorporate all three of our recycled regen fibers into a design,” said Mike Simko, Global Marketing Director, Hyosung Textiles. “We are proud to join forces with such an innovative, young company that is growing like gangbusters and has developed such an interactive and adventurous community.”

We are travel lovers and we want to make responsible travel the norm,” said Alberto Espinós, Tropicfeel CEO & Founder. “We’re offering unmatched versatility, access, organization, and everyday aesthetics.”

Tropicfeel’s Shell will be available for pre-order on its website: https://www.tropicfeel.com/pages/shell-pre-order
